Bright Feats directory is owned and operated by Simple Life Connections, LLC. Simple Life Connections is a company that was started by two moms that both have children with special needs.

Allie Spangler – Mother of two boys ages 9 and 10. Her older son has Asperger’s syndrome, ADHD and developmental coordination disorder. Her younger son has a mild expressive language disorder. She is also a Registered Nurse with fifteen years experience including Postpartum, Labor and Delivery, Triage, Operating Room and is currently a Case Manager.

Rori Becker- Mother of two girls ages 9 and 11. Her older daughter was born twelve weeks prematurely which resulted in multiple medical issues. Her younger daughter has experienced attachment issues related to adoption, speech delay and allergies. She is a teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and is currently homeschooling her children. She taught an inclusive preschool class for five years at Sanlando Christian School. She also worked for the American Heart Association as a Program and Marketing Director with specialized experience with the Emergency Cardiac Care Program at their state office.

Bright Feats provides information about local community services, offers support to families and helps local businesses convey what they have to offer to the special needs community. Having children with special healthcare needs, they have been through and are still within the complex maze of the healthcare and educational systems. Finding their children needed occupational/physical therapy and having difficulty affording continued care after insurance benefits were exhausted, their first product was born. GiggleYoLates was a yoga and Pilates DVD with adaptive exercises for children with special needs. From that experience they connected with many community organizations and families and discovered there is a greater need for a resource directory specifically designed for families with children that have special healthcare needs.

Bright Feats mission is to connect families with medical, educational and special needs resources.
